    About James

James Druce is the founder and director of Full Bed Hosts, a holiday let management company serving property owners across Dorset, the New Forest, and Salisbury. He has spent over 25 years working across the hospitality industry — from Michelin-starred hotels and premium country inns to Parliamentary hospitality, regional conference centres, and community tourism initiatives.

James holds an MSc in Tourism Management and a BA (Hons) in International Hospitality Management, both from Bournemouth University — one of the UK's leading institutions for tourism and hospitality research. His academic background gives him a rigorous, evidence-based approach to holiday let strategy, pricing, and guest experience design.

He is a Personal Member of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS) and has worked internationally — from Kenya to the French Alps — giving him a global perspective on what makes exceptional guest experiences. That breadth of experience informs every aspect of how Full Bed Hosts operates.

James founded Full Bed Hosts after experiencing firsthand the challenges of holiday let ownership in Dorset. He built the company around the values he wished he had found in a management partner: genuine local knowledge, transparent pricing, and a commitment to treating every property as if it were his own.

He writes regularly about holiday let management, Airbnb strategy, direct bookings, and the Dorset and New Forest property markets — drawing on his practical experience and academic background to provide advice that is both authoritative and actionable.
